AIA is dedicated to developing a learning environment for students in middle school to high school. AIA provides year-round personalized learning plans for each student via in-person instruction, giving them the flexibility to learn in smaller classroom, maximizing their learning potential!
Our Accreditation is from Cognia (formerly AdvancED), which is the largest Accreditation agency in the U.S. formed by a merger of 3 of the 6 leading Regional Accreditation agencies in the U.S. Cognia accreditation is recognized in 85 countries. At AIA, we are wholeheartedly committed to the concept that knowledge is indeed power and that the power of knowledge can remove barriers of mistrust, enhance understanding, and forge friendships between people and nations. While generating immense goodwill and cooperation between young and old. This is the underpinning philosophy behind everything we do in seeking to spread access to an American education throughout the international community.

Katie began her career in education as an English teacher at Osceloa High School in Florida. She has had extensive experience both teaching and leading in the virtual private school setting. Before she joins Aquinas International Academy, she was at International Connections Academy served as the manager of High School and AP English Literature teacher before becoming the Assistant Principal. She served as the Principal for four years when the school transitioned to Pearson Online Academy for a total of ten years leading in the organization.
Katie lives with her husband, daughter, and two miniature dachshunds. Her family loves to travel, especially to Disney! Besides her devotion to education, Katie is passionate about performing arts, having studied and performed in musical theatre over the years. Combining her love for the theatre and her love for literature, she recently wrote and had professionally produced a musical version of the Dickens’ classic, A Christmas Carol.
Anna Whitt is the school counselor at Aquinas International Academy.This is her sixth year as a K-12 certified school counselor. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from William Peace University then continued her education at North Carolina Central University where she obtained her Master of Arts in School Counseling.She is also currently pursuing her Clinical Mental Health Counseling licensure.
Anna's goal as a school counselor is to help meet the academic, social and emotional, and career needs of her students by focusing on topics such as college and career readiness and social and emotional learning with her students.Anna lives with her husband, their two dogs and their cat. She loves being outdoors and staying active by hiking, snow skiing, playing pickleball, and walking her dogs. She believes that some of the best coping strategies for life's stressors can happen by being outdoors and in the sunlight!
